  • At Home Testing: Ages 6+

    Covid-19 Test at Home Program

Sussex County is proud to offer “at-home” COVID-19 testing to the residents of Sussex County. Participants in the program will be asked to provide insurance however no copay will be required. Residents without insurance will also be eligible to participate in the program.

The saliva collection test for COVID-19 has the same effectiveness as the nasal swab test. This test is performed under the supervision of our healthcare provider, Vault, through a video telehealth visit eliminating the risk of person-to-person exposure to the virus.

To register for your at-home testing kit, you must first fill out the form below to verify your Sussex County residency. Within 24-48 hours following your submission, you will receive a link to order your free kit on the Vault Health website. This is accessible to all Sussex County residents, and health insurance is not required but a claim will be submitted if are covered.

    Please note the following:

    1. There is no out-of-pocket cost for this test.
    2. You must be a resident of Sussex County or employed as a first responder or health care worker in Sussex County.
    3. Only persons over the age of 6 are eligible for this test. Persons under the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian complete the registration for them.
    4. You should receive your result through email within 48 hours.
    5. This is not an antibody test. This test is designed to determine if you currently are infected with COVID-19 and have the potential to infect others.

If your test is positive, or if you have symptoms, call your health care professional.

  • At Home Covid-19 Test Kit (Free for Uninsured): Ages 18+

The Sussex County Dept. of Health has partnered with Pixel/Labcorp, to offer an at home, self-administered PCR test, which FedEx will drop off and pick up.  You must either be sick or have been exposed to order this test, and if you are uninsured, it will be free, if you have insurance, they will bill your insurance. The link is below.

The form starts with a survey.  If you are uninsured, when you get to payment options, click "I don't have insurance." A government fund will cover your test.

If you need to order more than one test for your family, after ordering the first test, and between each order, refresh the webpage so the next order is placed properly.
